Akil Augustine is a broadcaster and story teller who has spent his career covering the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto FC, Raptors 905 and Toronto Raptors for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and NBATV. A passionate advocate for mindfulness, breath work and reading Akil is currently working within the downtown Toronto community to facilitate growth and development opportunities for the cities youth.

Alkan has been nominated for a National Magazine Award in Canada for Cover of the Year. He has also received a Nation Magazine nomination for portrait series of the year where he received an honorable mention.
